The Higg FEM Trainer Body undergoes evaluation by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) to determine if it possesses a system capable of educating and training third parties on Higg FEM. Only institutions deemed to have sufficient competence are certified. Certified trainers must demonstrate a deep understanding of FEM content, the ability to explain it to third parties, substantial experience, a proven proficiency in adult learning, and must pass SAC’s evaluation and examination. BOKEN, having both a Trainer Body and certified trainers, aims to contribute to SDGs by providing a learning platform for Higg Index FEM and facilitating a deeper understanding.

For those embarking on their journey with FEM, it is recommended to undergo Higg FEM training. Insufficient understanding of FEM requirements can lead to significant gaps between self-assessment at manufacturing facilities and verification results. Moreover, without correctly presenting the environmental permits required by FEM for manufacturing facilities, obtaining verification scores becomes unattainable.
